Advertisement Analysis

I'm pretty sure you can guess that this post has something to do with the Halo 5 game. you would be correct in thinking that. However this is more of an analysis of one of the many advertisement for the game. The advertisement (that you will see if you click on the link later) caught my interest because of the way they presented a scene that created curiosity in me about the game. The advertisement targeted gamers' who have followed the story of halo and also new players who may be interested in the entire game series. The music also adds  more effect to the video. Hey guys its me Ayobami again. Today I'm going to tell you about my media research report for my Intro to Electronic Media class. The topic I chose to research was how social media has affected music. Everyone can agree that social media has allowed them to be able to follow and comment on the music of their favorite artist. That's just one of the positives that social media has on music. The use of the "like" and "dislike" buttons give music producers the chance to see which artists are popular and which ones are not. Other media such as YouTube allow aspiring musicians to get spotted for fame. However, social media has some negative side because it allows for bad news to spread especially for celebrities. How many times have we heard about the bad things that some celebrities have done or said through  social medias like twitter or Facebook? Too many times. Social media also allows paparazzi to present their work to a large audience at once. In conclusion social media has been like a double edge sword to the music industry.     

Media Journal

 Hello again its me Ayobami and today's post is going to be a little different than what my original post was about. I am taking a Intro to Electronic Media class at FCC and one of our assignment was to keep a journal of all the different media that we encounter in our daily life. Well, after completing the assignment I can tell you that media really has taken over most of our daily life without us even realizing it. When I say media, I'm not just talking about getting on Facebook and Twitter, but all the other forms of media that we don't realize take up most of our lives as well. Media such as books, magazines, or listening to music on your smartphones or even on the radio while your driving. While creating my media journal, I was amazed by how hard it was to really keep track of  all the media that I use daily. I believe that's what my professor was aiming for , when he presented us with the assignment. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that we should be paying more attention to media in our life as well as the influence that they have on us.
