Advertisement Analysis

I'm pretty sure you can guess that this post has something to do with the Halo 5 game. you would be correct in thinking that. However this is more of an analysis of one of the many advertisement for the game. The advertisement (that you will see if you click on the link later) caught my interest because of the way they presented a scene that created curiosity in me about the game. The advertisement targeted gamers' who have followed the story of halo and also new players who may be interested in the entire game series. The music also adds  more effect to the video. Hey guys its me Ayobami again. Today I'm going to tell you about my media research report for my Intro to Electronic Media class. The topic I chose to research was how social media has affected music. Everyone can agree that social media has allowed them to be able to follow and comment on the music of their favorite artist. That's just one of the positives that social media has on music. The use of the "like" and "dislike" buttons give music producers the chance to see which artists are popular and which ones are not. Other media such as YouTube allow aspiring musicians to get spotted for fame. However, social media has some negative side because it allows for bad news to spread especially for celebrities. How many times have we heard about the bad things that some celebrities have done or said through  social medias like twitter or Facebook? Too many times. Social media also allows paparazzi to present their work to a large audience at once. In conclusion social media has been like a double edge sword to the music industry.     

Media Journal

 Hello again its me Ayobami and today's post is going to be a little different than what my original post was about. I am taking a Intro to Electronic Media class at FCC and one of our assignment was to keep a journal of all the different media that we encounter in our daily life. Well, after completing the assignment I can tell you that media really has taken over most of our daily life without us even realizing it. When I say media, I'm not just talking about getting on Facebook and Twitter, but all the other forms of media that we don't realize take up most of our lives as well. Media such as books, magazines, or listening to music on your smartphones or even on the radio while your driving. While creating my media journal, I was amazed by how hard it was to really keep track of  all the media that I use daily. I believe that's what my professor was aiming for , when he presented us with the assignment. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that we should be paying more attention to media in our life as well as the influence that they have on us.

Destiny

So my very first post was an introduction about who I am and what this blog was mainly about. I also gave a heads up as to what the next post is going to be, so here it is. So, destiny is a first person shooter game that was developed by a game company called Bungie. It was released on September 9 2014. The game has really good graphics and for gamers who want a shooting game that challenges you this game is for you. The game doesn't have a more personal feel to it though. There are occasions where other players will literally pop into missions with you ore are completing other missions in the same map. This way you can choose to help others or others can help you ( or they could ignore you as you get killed by a boss). The game now has a part 2 to the story The Taken King. This was just released on September 5 2015. Also before I forget, the game can be played on the PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles as well as the Xbox one and Xbox 360 consoles. The only difference to me is that the graphics for the Xbox consoles seem to be more blended together whereas the PlayStation consoles are more clear. Well that's all I have to say about the game right now I'm still in the process of beating the game. If you want to now more try looking at gameplay videos on youtube.

My Introduction post

Hello everyone my name is Ayobami Hephzibah Afolabi. Yes, I know that it is a mouthful to swallow but I have an easier way for you to say it. Just take my first name and Cut it at the "o". So what I'm trying to say is that you can call me Ayo, and yes I know it sounds like "A yo". Anyway lets move on past my name. Let me give you some insights on my background. If you haven't figured it out yet based on my name, I was born in Africa. what you may have not guessed is that I'm from Nigeria. I am 18 years old and I have two younger brothers and a younger sister. A strange fact about myself is that I share a birthday with my father and its on Pearl harbor day. That would be December 7 for those who may not remember. I have many activities that I love to get involved in, basketball, soccer  playing the guitar, and singing. also this blog is about videogames so you can guess that my other favorite activity is playing videogames. I am also currently attending Frederick Community College ( its also the main reason why I am creating this blog). Ok a little information about what ill be doing on this blog is presenting reviews of different games for different gaming systems such as console games or PC games. This also includes online games or MMORPG games. Also allow me to give you a little heads up that I'm not a pro gamer. In gamer terms I would be considered a NOOB. Also I will try and give my best opinion of different games so leave comments about your opinions as well.
